Swizz Beatz gets car for Alicia Keys
Swizz Beatz decided that it was much better to give than receive on his birthday and got Alicia Keys a huge gift!
Disregarding rumors of an affair with Houston singer Christina Elizabeth, the producer handed Alicia keys to a new pink Lotus on Wednesday...which was his birthday.
"Best part of my Bday was my gift to my wife because my Bday is her Bday," he tweeted along with a picture of Alicia standing beside her new ride. For those wondering, Alicia's actual birthday is January 25.
According to TheYBF.com, hooking Alicia up with the pink sports car was no problem, as Swizz is company's Vice President of Creative Design and Global Marketing. TheYBF also caught up with Swizz at the launch of Steve Stoute's new book, The Tanning of America, where he didn't exactly deny rumors of the affair.
"All that matters is that I love my wife," he said. "We don't play into all the foolishness. I'm just trying to stay on my grind and they are always trying to bring me down."
Swizz' alleged mistress released a statement to Bossip.com, though, confirming that she's been sleeping with the re-married producer for years. From her words it seems as through Christina is tired of being his dirty little secret.
"I’m only making this statement because I’m being put out there as a liar and I am very embarrassed," she said. "I would like to confirm that the rumor about Swizz Beatz cheating on Mashonda with me is absolutely true. I would also like to confirm that the rumors about Swizz “sexting” me, even in his present marriage, are absolutely true."
As Christina tells it, Swizz was quite taken with her from the moment they met at Solange Knowles' birthday party in 2007. He even invited her to accompany him for a radio interview the next day. Christina claims she didn't find out that Swizz was married until weeks later, when they first slept together during a getaway to Miami.
"He snuck me through the house and it was all odd to me until I found a gift with Mashonda & Kasseem’s name on it," Christina recalled in the statement. "I asked him later on why he was cheating on her and he basically said she wasn’t being the wife he needed. He also said that if she asked if he was cheating, he would not lie to her, but he wouldn’t come right out and tell her."
After years of being his jumpoff, the singer seems to have no problem staying in her lane. She even lied to Mashonda about their interaction for himWhile she expects Swizz to maintain that gossip is all false, there don't seem to be any overly hard feelings on her end.
"He’s a wonderful man and I had a great time with him as well as a great relationship," Christina states. "Of course he’ll deny the whole thing and of course Alicia will stand up for her man. It’s understood."
Kanye West dresses the ladies
With his Jay-Z collaboration, Watch the Throne, available in stores and online, Kanye is shifting his focus to fashion. According to Billboard.com, the Chicago rapper is prepping to launch his women's fashion line at Paris Fashion Week on October 1.
Reportedly he's been working on the line with Australian Harper's Bazaar fashion editor, Christine Centenera, since last March. The line itself was designed by Louise Goldin, and it's not clear how much creative input Kanye had.
No name for Kanye's collection has been released yet. As fans ponder what the "Otis" rapper may send down the runway, video of his failed TV pilot has made its way to the Internet.
NecoleBitchie.com reports that Kanye had been working on a puppet show aimed at adults titled "Alligator Boots" for Comedy Central. The debut episode would have featured him and Kim Kardashian interacting with foul-mouthed puppets a la "Crank Yankers," but the format of the show would have been more smiliar to that of "The Muppet Show."
There's no word on why "Alligator Boots," which was created with Rhymefest, never made it to air. It's possible the show, although funny, may have been a little too raunchy even for late-night cable TV. Judge for yourself when you watch the video below.
